Free Stamps For Me!

This might not excite some of you… but I had a very nice surprise a few days ago.  While looking for something else on the Stampin’ Up! website, I learned that they are rewarding their demonstrators with a free set of stamps based on the amount of sales they had during their just-ended Sale-A-Bration campaign.  With lots of help from my friends (thank you all very much), I earned a free set!  Woo-hoo!

And, it’s not the lowest reward offered… it’s the next step up! — so I get a free stamp set valued up to $31.95.  Of course, if you know me, you know I already had a set on my wish list that was just under that price.  It’s a larger set that I just wasn’t ready to pay the cost of yet.  So now it’s FREE!!!  I don’t even have to pay any shipping or sales tax on it.

One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 37:4,  Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart,  so, I shouldn’t be surprised at getting what I’ve been wanting at a price I’m willing to pay (zero!).  God loves us and wants us to be happy.  I also believe He wants to amaze us every so often with gifts that we know come from Him.  But still, every time it happens, I’m amazed that God “is mindful of me” and blesses me with things I want instead of only things I need.  I just have to be patient and wait for His timing.

Hope you’re blessed today in some unexpected way, too!

Learning To Link 101

I’m learning more every day about the in’s and out’s of blogging.  I was beginning to feel like the picture here– the pieces just weren’t coming together.  Finally, after a bunch of Googling for more information, I tried again to insert a graphic link to my Stampin’ Up! website here on my blog, and it worked!!!  (The link is at the top in the right hand column.)

Then, not satisfied with that, after more trial and error and Googling, I figured out how to also post a link to the current Stampin’ Up! specials and promotions.  That project took longer to accomplish, but I’m proud to say I was up to the challenge, and the link works the way it should. (Go ahead — check it out!!!)

So just now, I’ve added a new link down under “Inspiring Your Creativity” which will, with just one click, take you to my Card Gallery on Splitcoast Stampers (My Splitcoast Gallery – you can click right here and get to it, also – just figured out how to insert a link like that, too!).  There’s always something new to be learned!

I’ve been trying to get more involved at SCS and post a new card every day.  So far, so good.  (But it’s only been four days so far.)  Anyway, I hope you take a minute to go exploring and find something new to inspire you.  As Henry Ford once said:

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.
