Constant Change (an oxymoron?)

If you’ve checked out my blog over the past few days, you no doubt have noticed the almost daily changes in how it looks.  This whole blog stuff still fascinates me and the layouts and styles available are almost limitless!  I loose hours at a time exploring and previewing different colors, backgrounds, headers, widgets, links, graphics, etc., etc., etc!

For now, I think I like this look and will keep it for a while.  It’s still contemporary, colorful,  and casual-looking, but a bit simpler and cleaner than the previous one.  But, don’t hold me to that, my friends.  As they say “Nothing is constant except change.”  I’m sure my creative nature will have me looking for something new and different very shortly.

“Re-Birth” Day Card

We celebrated a baptism at our church this last Sunday and of course, I wanted to send a card of congratulations to my new Sister-In-Christ.

I already had some printed paper that I added to my stash a few months ago from Michael’s.  I didn’t have an immediate use for it, but this is what I bought it for…  so here’s my first attempt.  (You can click on the picture to open up a larger view.)

It’s what Splitcoast Stampers calls CAS (Clean And Simple) — That means you use just one or two layers of paper, a stamped image, and not much else.  Instead of stamping on the front, I used butterflies to symbolize a re-birth or new life (MS butterfly punch).  And, of course, I’ve added some Stickles glitter glue.  Quick, but cute!

I found some great baptism sayings for the inside on a couple of different websites, so I’ll add one and then hand-deliver it this Sunday.  Let me know what you think!
